Subiefest 2025 Autocross Champions – Once again!

We attended the Subiefest Florida 2025 Annual meetup in Orlando , FL this past weekend.  There were a TON of Subarus in attendance, lots of cool booths, show cars, and things to see but our main draw was the Subimods sponsors Flat Four Showdown Autocross. The Flat Four Showdown is designed for drivers competing in Subaru-powered Subaru models and select Toyota and Scion models (FR-S, GT86, and GR86), encouraging them to get out and drive in various disciplines like autocross, time attack, and drifting. It’s all about friendly competition, community, and supporting each other while chasing faster times and bigger goals. If you’ve got the skill and drive, the Flat Four Showdown gives you a platform to showcase it.

Autocross Victory at Subiefest 2023!

This past weekend Subiefest held their 3^rd annual Florida Subaru meet at the Daytona International Speedway – complete with Travis Pastrana and Bucky Lasek doing donuts in their insane rallycross inspired cars, the reveal of the brand new 2024 WRX TR, a ton of vintage and new Subarus to look at, and an all Subaru Autocross. We were there with our vendor booth and our modern-classic 2005 Camo STi, talking Subaru performance all day with fellow enthusiasts, and with our 2008 STI Hatch project car to compete in the Autocross.

So, we’re like you.  We like cars.  We like project cars.  We also happen to like Subarus.  So, when we happened upon the opportunity to buy an ex-road-race Subaru race car project, we couldn’t resist.  Fully gutted and caged, lexan windows, wide-body – oh yeah.  We had to have it.  

That’s not to say it didn’t need….a little bit of work though...

MX5 Suspension Upgrade - Lowering Springs and Swaybars on a 2020 Club

A client of ours had just picked up this really nice 2020 Mazda Miata MX5 Club - complete with upgraded V2 Bilstein shocks, Recaro seats, and an LSD out back.  These are very nice cars and perform well right from the factory but he wanted more.....So he researched upgrades that would compliment the factory suspension, and he decided on a full set of Progress Technology Springs and Swaybars. He then he contacted us to get these parts installed, so we got to work!

We headed back to one of our favorite events every year - the Grassroots Motorsports Magazine $2000 Challenge - and we took home 3 Trophies:

-Daily Driver Class
-$1000 Class
-Gastropod Class
